March 11 – Private Security Officers’ day

Private Security Officers’ day is observed in Russia yearly. It recognizes the work of security companies’ employees and private investigators.

These professionals have always been in high demand. In the 21st century many statesmen and politicians, celebrities and other VIPs hire security guards in order to protect themselves from robbers and intruders.

This day is marked on March 11 because on this very day in 1992 Russia adopted Private Investigations and Security Act. At present, private companies work with more than 500,000 clients and employ no less than 700,000 staff.
