The beginning of cooperation between Pharaoh Group and the JYSK Group of Companies

JYSK is owned by Lars Larsen Group. The founder of the company, Lars Larsen, is known throughout Denmark as a successful entrepreneur. The phrase "I have a great offer for you" once uttered by him is strongly associated with JYSK today. In 1979, he opened the first store in Denmark's second largest city, Aarhus (by the way, this store is still there today). Larsen had big plans, although he had no idea how fast his business would grow. Then Larsen opened several successful JYSK Sengetøjslager stores (that was the name of the stores until 2001) throughout Denmark, and in 1984 began to develop a network outside the country - in Germany.
