A high level of summit — a decent level of security
January 30 — February 1, Moscow hosted the first meeting of BRICS Sherpas/Sous Sherpas within the framework of the Russian presidency with the participation of representatives of the countries that became full members of the association. For three days, Sherpas — trusted and authorized high-ranking officials from the BRICS member countries — gathered in the Russian capital to discuss the key priorities put forward by Russia in various tracks of interaction. The high status of the event was ensured by the participation of Mr. Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Russia's BRICS Sherpa, Mr. Ma Zhaoxu, Deputy Foreign Minister of China, China's BRICS Sherpa, and representatives of the Foreign Ministries of India, Iran, UAE, Egypt and other BRICS members, as well as countries interested in BRICS integration.
