SELFIE RESTAURANT OPENING PARTY
Yesterday Moscow beau monde celebrated the opening of Selfie restaurant on Novinsky boulevard. No one could resist taking a self-portrait in a place bearing that name.Selfie begins at the kitchen just like the theatre begins at the cloakroom. The open kitchen created by a well-known Italian designer Andrea Viacava is the first to be noticed. A closely guarded secret of the chefs has now turned into a culinary performance.
The duet of two chefs, Vladimir Mukhin and Anatoly Kazakov, invite other well-known chefs to their open kitchen. The goal is promote Russian foods - pork from Kursk, halibut from Murmansk, beef from Bryansk, asparagus from Tver, truffles from the Crimea. In terms of geography the menu is truly unique. Mukhin and Kazakov use foods delivered from fifteen Russian regions as well as those imported from other countries. Seasonal foods, attentions to traditions and new cooking techniques are the guidelines for Selfie team.
